Sculpture + Video
The Eye, a conceptual artwork both physical and digital reflects on the fragile, constructed nature of our perception. At its core, the piece questions the stability of reality itself—reminding us that what we consider “real” is a filtered rendering, not a direct experience of the world.
Perception is not passive; our brains actively construct our experience, shaped by memory, emotion, culture, and belief. Even something as fundamental as color doesn’t exist objectively—it emerges from the way our minds interpret light. Altered states of consciousness, such as those induced by psychedelics or the wonder of childhood, reveal just how fluid this construction can be. They show us that reality is subjective, fragile, and deeply intertwined with our inner world.
The sculpture of the eye is both a mirror and a window: a reminder that we don’t just see the world — we feel it.
It asks us to look inward, to witness how our perception is shaped, and to look beyond the visible if we truly want to understand what surrounds us.
